Singapore 2017

Hello Singapore! This is my 3rd time visiting Singapore and I have a mission (Can you guess what is my mission?). I think I am falling in love with SG since my second visit because my schedule is less hectic and more time to experience the culture. Their transportation is awesome! I can easily travel from A to B with their MRT. Almost every major shopping malls/tourist spots are reachable by MRT or with short walking distance. Unfortunately, the weather is not suitable for OL like me :(

So lets guess what is my mission this time? Here is some clue for you all.

Look at the Q! Thanks to the power of social media (and the passion for Art of course)

Now you know! <3
I was taking care of 2 toddlers so I only have limited time to admire them. The following are some of my favorites:

Notice all the detailing? It is really eye opening for me as this is my first time visiting art exhibition.I love all the tiny details and they are not small pieces of art. Many of them bigger than me in real life (I am very big you know). Most of the works reflecting how she overcome her mental issues through art.

' GOD REPLACES WHAT HE TAKES AWAY'

My favourite spot (I believe favourite for others as well). We were given 2 seconds (Yes no typo we only have 2 seconds) inside this room filled with colourful light bulbs. At one second, I thought I am living in a galaxy full of possibilities. I love how they changes colour almost every second and still look wonderful!

Another section with hundreds of light bulbs and changes colour almost every few seconds but no Q required. Awesome!

Can you spot all the details? You know how much patience/effort/time needed to complete all of them? Honestly if you are paying full attention and spending time to admire every single piece of them done by Yayoi Kusama, you'll feel depressed. She is expressing her internal emotion through her artworks.

Another favourite spot (you know I love Polka Dot?) and going to end everything about #yayoikusama now. HAHAHAHA

Next lets move to something more interesting for most people. Talking about my professional field: Food

First stop: The famous Hai Di Lao
(We Q for 2 hours only get to sit down and order our food)
Basically it took us 2.5 hours from waiting to ordering and you have to register a waiting number for your free manicure service. Sadly, I wasted mine because I was busy eating. We reached the place at 7pm and left the place at 11.30pm. Woohoo! First night gone

Second stop: Botanic Garden ( OMG Whats the restaurant name again?)
I love their Truffle pizza (so good! 💛). We ordered SG Laksa, Truffle Pizza and Carbonara and the taste is above average at an affordable price. You can plan for a short run/walk to burn some calories before your breakfast/brunch. Pictures taken by yours truly but the quality is awful because I am baby sitting 2 toddlers. HAHAHAHA

                                                                Third stop: Muji Cafe
(The ultimate high class mixed rice but really yummy mixed rice)
I strongly recommend everyone of you give them a try, something simple but delicious and affordable. Really suitable for budget traveler

Fourth Stop: MCD
Woah woah woah let me explain. This is not the usual MCD menu in Malaysia. Initially we wanted to try the famous Nasi Lemak burger but they no longer available in SG (sky why oh why?). We were surprised to found out more 'exotic' menu like Angus beef burger (you kidding me?) and Buttermilk chicken (this is yum!). We ordered both but beef is not my type of meat so I just guai guai eat my Buttermilk Chicken. Woah! You know they are really good? Fluffy Burger Bun and juicy chicken patty. Yum! Am I overreacting? Please forgive me

Fifth Stop: Liao Fan Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice & Noodle (dont play play 1 Michelin-starred hawker).
I tried their 3 combination ( Roasted Pork, Char Siu and Pork Ribs) and Soya Sauce Chicken.

Last stop: Tsuta Ramen
This is the shop I always come whenever I visit SG. I love their Truffle Shoyu Ramen because they are heavenly good! 💛💛💛

Okay there goes my second post.
Enjoy!

  1. 展览二想:
    人的渺小与世界的大,你以为你看透了,却发现在艺术的眼前,你我不过一粒尘埃,想透个气就看个展,结束了,还得回来,原来肚子会饿。。。
